The campus is very beautiful, diverse, and calm. It's perfect for relaxing with friends or even alone when you want to get away from all of the studying. There's plenty of fun activities to do around campus so you can get to know everyone. All of the teachers are sweet and truly care about your education. Going to Winthrop is like riding a rollercoaster and I love it very much!
Review Winthrop University
Winthrop is a very warm, welcoming and diverse campus! The faculty and staff are extremely kind and make Winthrop feel like home. The class sizes are small and the professors truly care about our education. Winthrop is an amazing school that offers private school benefits for the price of public schools.
The Winthrop Eagles compete at Winthrop Farm, about a mile from the main campus. The Winthrop Farm is beautiful, and includes a lake, disc golf course, the Winthrop Coliseum, Ballpark, Softball Fields, Tennis Courts, and Soccer complex. The Coliseum has actually been recognized as one of the best college facilities in the NCAA. With that being said, due to the separation from the residential campus, athletics feel relatively unimportant, except perhaps basketball. School spirit at the main campus is shown for our teams, notably on Garnet & Gold Fridays, but other than that, Winthrop University and the Winthrop Eagles can often times feel like two totally separate entities.
