My time at Wilkes Community College was a wonderful experience overall. I was able to learn a lot and got to meet quite a few new people who quickly became some of my closest friends. I started at WCC my junior year in high school so it took a little longer for me to get my degree but I’m so glad I had the advisors and professors that I did because they helped me through the whole thing. Overall I feel that my time at WCC was a good experience and I would highly recommend it to others. Thank you!
I was dual-enrolled at WCC from 2020 to 2022 (my high school junior and senior years). My entire first year of classes was totally online, but I had a very good experience. When I was able to take classes on campus, I enjoyed them very much as well. I had many absolutely amazing teachers who helped me learn so much and also wrote me great letters of recommendation. There were a few teachers that I feel did their job poorly and the curriculum in certain classes did seem to have a political bias, but overall, I had a very positive view of the school and the faculty. I would recommend this school to any young people looking to earn college credit. I was completely homeschooled until I started dual-enrollment at WCC, and it was a wonderful first school experience.
I believe Wilkes Community College is a pretty good college for anyone who just wants to stay near their home. I really like attending the college, since it allows me to further my education, while still being able to stay at home and close to my family. It was also a great opportunity for me, since it allowed me to attend college, while just having to pay for my books and fees. Even though the books and fees aren’t very cheap, it still saves me quite a bit of money, since tuition is over a $1,000 a semester. Overall, I really enjoy Wilkes Community College, and I feel like it has already furthered my education quite a bit in just my first semester.
