The community is small and inclusive, there are always events going on and ways to be included to meet new people! I’ve been living in the dorms and it has been a great experience. The food is very good for the most part and after scholarships (which most everyone gets) I have found it affordable with a simple job! Amazing classes here. All the teachers know you personally by the end of the class and are very kind when you are struggling. It feels like I’m at home here plus you get a scholarship for just being some programs like the art or music program. You also get a scholarship for returning each year. I’m hoping to finish my bachelors in 3 years since most my high school credits transfered. The best part is you are right in the middle of sugar house with a part right across the street and everything within minutes from you. A lot of the students are transfer students so it is great to get to know other cultures by getting to know others. They have great opportunities being here.
I love Westminster! The ratio of professors to students creates an environment of genuine concern for the holistic well-being of each student. The progressive approach to learning emphasizes understanding and independent thought over regurgitation of facts. Interdisciplinary learning is encouraged through the school's W-core model for general requirements. I am very pleased, from every possible angle, with my decision to attend.
Westminster College is a private liberal arts college located in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have enjoyed my overall time at Westminster, favoring the small class sizes and close relationships I have created with my professors and peers. Furthermore, their nursing program which I'm currently in is known all over Utah for producing well rounded, ethical, and critical thinking nurses. If I had to see anything change it would be elevating campus life and creating more involvement.
