Western Michigan University Reviews
WMU is a great school that has taught me a lot. While it is not the most glamorous or prestigious of schools, it is a place I have come to love. I always feel welcome and safe, and there are always things going on; parties, schools sponsored events, RSOs, and much more always make their presence felt and are always a welcome addition to campus. While the food is good (not great) and many professors are still behind the times when it comes to online education, Western is still a great school. Go Broncos!
My experience with Western Michigan University has been excellent thus far! I have been enrolled in two of the different choral ensembles, one of which being University Choral, which won an international competition in the Baltic states in 2017. This university has given me the edge I need to compete for employment in the choral music education field. I feel confident that the professors of this college have given me enough excellent experiences in the professional music world to guarantee me an extraordinary musical career. I am excited to face the musical world with the connections I made at Western Michigan University.
This university is constantly changing, but is so beautiful! WMU is a great place to make lifelong friends and get a great education. Some staff, I’m unsure how they are still able to teach (but I’m sure a ton of students at universities feel the same about some of their professors). Other professors are SO helpful and lead you to the resources you need. I am in IHS and I don’t think our academic advisors are the best. They don’t seem like they really want to help you, just get you in and out. Overall, love this place and glad I’ll be alumni soon.
