Western Michigan University Reviews
Review Western Michigan University
I love Western Michigan University! I transferred here from Eastern Michigan University and what a difference! The atmosphere overall here, is great. The professors at WMU push you to your best ability but are always there when you need assistance. My department is small but close, and has a great environment as well. Because I chose Western Michigan University as my college, I know I will be prepared for the workforce and with an over 90 percent placement rate in my science field, I will be able to get a good job that I am already well experienced for. Not only are the academics really sound, but the community is great, sports are super fun, and student life is definitely "one for the books". Dorms and Housing could use a little more of a facelift for the price, which is why I live off campus. But overall, I'm glad I resided to Western Michigan University. Going here will be a big part of my life that I wont forget!
I have only been at Western Michigan University for two weeks, but I already know I absolutely love it. My classes are all generally small, the professors are personable, and every one I have met has been extremely nice and helpful. My first day of classes I got lost a few times and had to ask multiple people where to go. Every one was more than happy to help, and gave me the quickest and most efficient route. Overall, WMU is a wonderful place to study, and I cannot wait to see what the next four years hold!
I like Western aesthetically. However, that's pretty much it. Many of the students that go here are business majors and act accordingly. Many of the individuals here are unemotional and quite simply, dull. The classes are stupidly easy, and the professors are all grad students-not happy about that! If you aren't in a frat/comfortable going to a frat, then you are not partying! The Valley dorms are horrid buildings and the roommate placing is not good either. My roommate and I shared nothing in common, besides music (Come on Western, who doesn't like music???). The campus and buildings are beautiful, but I strongly believe the negatives outweigh the little positives.
