I really love Western even though I wasn't sure about the school at first. I am sophomore set to graduate in 2020! I have never heard anyone not like the school and everyone always has fun along with the work. I wouldn't say the classes are easy, but I feel like it will be worth the degree 100%. If you come to school here (which I highly recommend) make sure to be ready for your legs to grow some muscles! We aren't called the Hilltoppers for just any reason! The hill is real! Campus is pretty diverse, but I would like to see it grow just a little more In this section. I also wish there were more opportunity for financial assistance. Over all great environment and a great place to be! I am PROUD to be a HillTopper!

I like everything about western except for one thing m, I live the hill and how everything looks! It’s really beautiful! The the buildings are huge and pretty! Especially cherry y’all at night time. But the one thing I do not like about it is the minority’s. There are very few if you think about it. We need more, we need more to get involved on campus. We need to help each other get our work done instead of push them down. We are not unified at all.
I would definitely choose WKU again, even in hindsight. The leadership at WKU is very good at making their students feel welcomed, cared for, and even supported in many different ways. There is a big push for "commitment to commencement" at WKU...which indicates the passion and care that the teachers and administration are demonstrating.

I have been involved with the local Baptist Campus Ministry, and it's been a great opportunity for me. From serving in little ways to leading worship for the main event, I've always had a home at the BCM at WKU.

I'm planning to study abroad next Winter, and because WKU is very focused on global learning, I have many opportunities to win scholarships and talk to previous study-abroad students. I've realized that NOT studying abroad tends to be the biggest regret of most college students. If I receive this scholarship, the money will go toward my study abroad to Australia, where I hope to study Economics!
