West Virginia University Reviews
I have had a great experience with classes, diversity, and campus life. The diversity of classes has allowed me to not only get a biology degree, but I will also have three minors , including Japanese. The other two minor degrees I will receive in the spring of 2018 will be pshycology and statistics. Campus life has been just steps away from my apartment at Harless center, making it easy to attend different function happening on campus downtown. I have gained a great value on being independent through living off campus in my own apartment. I have also meet some very interesting people from different cultures and countries. WVU has so much to offer!
As an incoming freshman at WVU, I am so excited to be a part of the Mountaineer family. The academic standards are obviously average, but WVU offers challenging courses as well as an honors college for those who seek to challenge themselves. The in-state tuition cannot be beat, and WVU offers in-state tuition to out-of-state students for several majors. WVU has students and alumni from all across the country as well as all across the world; this school is not lacking in diversity. The campus is beautiful, but how could it not be? It is in the mountain state after all. The opportunities at WVU are endless, no matter what you are interested in. Dorms are well maintained and match their cost very well. WVU is the pride of West Virginia and the state's largest economic contributor. I am so lucky to attend this university!
West Virginia University is a research institution focused on providing a world-class education to its students. The University is split up into 3 different campuses around the city of Morgantown and is connected by a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) monorail system built in the 1970's. This makes access between the Evansdale medical and engineering campuses and the downtown main campus easy. Student housing and meal plans are overpriced and mandatory for incoming freshmen. Professors in all disciplines are engaged in some sort of research, and there are many research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. The professors are very good at their jobs, and are always available for office hours and are welcoming of in-class discussion of topics. It is well known that our sports are competeting in the highest level, from football, to basketball, to soccer, and rifle shooting. Hail West Virginia!
