The knowledge and coursework at West Hills College (Lemoore) helped prepared me for my undergrad transfer to Fresno State and graduate school at CSU Bakersfield. I started at West Hills College in Lemoore taking 1 or 2 classes per semester, although it took me 5 years to transfer to Fresno State it was worth it! The professors at West Hills were knowledgeable and provided the same course load (other than the writing portion) as a university which made the transition easy. I enjoyed the campus, the staff was friendly, and tutoring services to help students succeed. West Hills motto is "if you can go here you can go anywhere." I believe this is a true statement and the opportunity is yours!
I absolutely loved attending West Hills college when I came straight out of high school. The transition was smooth and the overall environment was friendly. They had lots of academic programs to chose from based on your career path interest. Also, had lots of extracurricular activities available to its students. I took part in their cross country team and loved it! The coaches were beyond amazing and making new friends was the best. One of the main things I loved about taking part in receiving my AA there was that they offered free tutoring to its students. It was nice being able to have the opportunity of being able to go to a tutor for any subject needing a little extra help and understanding in. The tutors are phenomenal and were definitely a big help for me with coming to better understand maybe and even love it.
It is pretty decent to gain a quality education at the college level. There are lots of opportunities to consult school officials with financial programs as well as tutors for extra help. The campus needs more activities though because there are not enough people getting involved in student engagement. Overall, West Hills is a great start to earning a degree!
