West Coast University is a great school that produces the highest quality of nurses! Over the past few years, the NCLEX pass rate has raised from 80% to an astonishing 92% passing rate! The professors at WCU have much experience in the field, and they share their passion and knowledge to their students. The staff and administration are there to help provide resources, such as PALS tutoring (Peer Assisted Learning), Career services and more. The clinical rotations have been such a great learning experience, and the hands-on experience we have is priceless! Nursing school is very difficult, but with the resources we are provided with, it helps make the experience a little less stressful. Since this is an accelerated program, it is very difficult to maintain a full-time job (which I have done up until now). It's difficult, but definitely manageable!

More study rooms should be available to the students. Also, restaurants/more foods should be offered. Students go through 3, 5, or 12 hour classes at school and there is nothing more than vending machines or a side food dealer that feeds us junk foods.
The school should be more selective to who they accept to the school (student and professor wise). All students want to learn to hopefully achieve the goal of being the best nurse possible, but first the professors should genuinely care about the students. So far through out my nursing terms, I have had instructors that do not teach material, which leaves us students feel lost during sim labs and nursing lab classes.
There are some excellent professors here and you can learn a lot from them. However, the administration leaves much to be desired. They are unorganized and hard to reach when there is a problem. Many students feel as though they are not getting their money's worth. The appeal of this school is that there is no waitlist and the application process is less daunting than other schools. If you can wait and apply to other schools, this would be the recommendation.
