Washtenaw is a wonderful community college, with a very safe feel to it. Washtenaw is a wonderful place for being a journalism major, since we are located in Ann Arbor, which is a huge news area. Washtenaw does a very good job of offering a variety of clubs and sports for every kind of enthusiast! Washtenaw is also a very diverse college which makes it a comfortable setting for anyone. The only negative about WCC is the parking, sometimes it can be a little crowded, but we always managed to park eventually!
Math profs are great, physics dept is weakest link. Professors are highly variable in their quality. Some are condescending and unapproachable, and assign an inappropriate amount of work (too much for a certain topic, too little for topics that feature prominently on exams), and just leave you feeling unprepared and unknowledgable. Some delve too much or too little into some topics or get completely sidetracked much too often and take valuable class time away from actual course material.
As a freshman, the school makes it a point to make sure that you know your way around the school before you even start your classes, which is something that I absolutely love. This school has an excessinve amount for resources for pretty much anything that any student may need. Although depending on what time of day you come to class the parking is usually crappy, but on the bright side its very rare to see anyone just flying through the parking lot, thank goodness for that.
