I did two years there before moving on to the University of Michigan and this college hires some of the worst professors, I've ever encountered. Whether it be taking a month and a half to grade assignments, wearing sweat pants to class and constantly drinking out of a two liter of soda while teaching in the most monotone voice imaginable. Laying out a lesson plan and then not teaching from it. Or talking about the only job they ever had prior to teaching at Washtenaw working at Arbys. What life experience to learn from! Emailing you personally to turn in assignments that you submitted two weeks prior and they not only graded but commented on. Having a 200 level class considered so bad that U of M wouldn't even accept it for their program.
This isn't one teacher, but several. It seems they will hire whomever applies.

Washtenaw is a fantastic community college, they have a wide range of majors available including all online. The ability to work towards my MTA completely online has been incredible during the pandemic, they already had a bunch of online classes available so the transition was really easy. They also created their own books to save the students from having to purchase them for Gen. Ed. classes. I'm in the 3-1 program which is an agreement they have with most major universities where you do 3 years at the community college and 1 at the university, it ends up saving you a LOT of money which is great. My teachers have all been nice and attentive, the service teams have all been kind and timely, I live an hour away and I still decided to go here instead of closer CC's because of how great they are. Highly recommend!
The staff is incredibly helpful, experienced and actually want you to succeed. I haven't been in school in a decade; My perception of technical barrier of an online degree horrified me. Washtenaw Community College afforded me the opportunity to obtain a higher level of education and is assisting me along the way. If I can do it anyone can!
