One of the best aspects of Washtenaw is price. The courses offered are the same as the in-state universities at a fraction of the cost. There are also great transfer programs that set up excellently for transferring into a local state school for specific programs, such as business and psychology. Excellent professors who really know what they're about! easy bus access, lovely campus and great student services department. Great people and the professors are amazing. It has a variety of classes you can take. also, college is free the people over the age of 25 which I thought was cool. Along side all of this during this pandemic, I have only been taking online classes for I haven’t been able to experience the campus life of many college students yet. But, during my time taking these online classes, I have fortunately been blessed to have wonderful professors help me through this time to continue my education. Washtenaw has been a great experience for me thus far in my academic career.
Overall, I have had a great experience at Washtenaw Community College! I am in my first year online, so I can't say much about campus life. However, the faculty are easy to get in contact with, and I am enjoying my classes. When first starting out, I was very worried about my success in college. I had many people to reach out to at WCC to help get me started and answer my questions. I hope to attend in-person classes soon to get the full experience!
Online classes have been wonderful! Professors have done a fantastic job adjusting their curriculum online. I only have two professors this year, and both are easy to contact and very understanding. I will most likely continue taking some online classes at WCC after everything settles down. I enjoy them!
