Right now I am only in the on level classes so they are not that hard as of yet. But, when the classes get harder next semester I will appreciate how nice the professors are and willing to work with me
The campus on its own isn't the best but the people that make up the campus is what I like. Everybody is friendly and willing to help.
Easier enrollment process for online program. I am returning to school as an adult and have stayed in constant contact with my advisor. Been waiting on my high school transcripts for 4 weeks.
I have had some fantastic professors/courses and some that definitely need some work. The professor is typically the reason whether or not I like the class and Waldorf has some fantastic ones and others who could use more training on HOW to teach, rather than WHAT to teach
The athletic facilities are adequate for the student life requirement.
far drive to ice rink
No Greek life but sports teams group together similarly houses are generally termed "Football House" "Baseball House" ect.
Its good for the size of the town.
Most teachers work well with you. Not too many majors.
On campus Breen or Senior Apts are the nicest but J and L has a great social atmosphere. Most on campus housing is walking distance to all campus buildings.
There are some small town restaurants, and restaurants in the neighboring towns as well. Small town basically means a smaller variety; however, there are still good options.
Waldorf is a smaller school; it isn't a party school, but there's still plenty to do and places to have fun on and off campus. Drinking is off campus, because the school is a dry campus. However, Waldorf is a typical college--drinking and partying definitely exist.
Waldorf administration knows that students are college students--they are going to drink and be normal college students--they aren't extremely strict. However, they want students to be safe. That's their number one focus, so whatever consequences are in enforced are for safety.
The off campus dining is very average. There is very few options but they are better than what is on campus.
Library is the best facility at Waldorf. The YMCA and field house are open to all students but are of average status. The CIC building provides lots of fun games. The campus warrior cup challenges each semester are fun and there are usually ample opportunities to get out of town and go to the Mall of America or a sports event.
If you are a business major you are set for an easy route to a degree with good professors. Biology and science departments are also good, as well as the English department. Most majors at Waldorf have few teachers, but you get to know them easily. Psychology department seems to be struggling.
There is a relatively good amount of apartments near campus and prices are fairly low. The only problem is finding an apartment before they all become unavailable. It is good to have a plan of where and who you are going to live with one semester or more to talk with a realtor on getting the apartment next.
