Wagner College Reviews
Rating 3.31 out of 5 710 reviews
This school is overly priced. The people here are very silver spoon, nut case, and weird. This school is an alcoholic school. People drink, drink, and drink for fun, even on weekdays. Student athletes which makes up probably if not 40% of the school population. I definitely would have not attend if it wasn’t for my sport. But Wagner needs some very well needed upgrades within their dorm buildings. Very beat down, especially Towers. Instead of building new facilities for a very bad football team. Which is extremely hyped, same with basketball. The only winning conference sports are Track, and swimming to my knowledge. yet football gets a new facility, and there’s no new academic building? Same for dorm halls? Instead that money could be used towards better food! There is no, chick fil a, or just a restaurant on campus in general. For any freshman, or anyone that is new. This school is not the best, don’t get me started on the professors that barley speak English. Barley learned!
I think that Wagner is a very welcoming environment. With a small population, it really feels like a community with a unique mix of students. From Division One athletes to musical theater majors, there is a place for everyone. It is very easy to connect with your professors, which I love. A downside, though, of the small school would be the small selection of classes with limited flexibility. Additionally, if you do not like the professor that teaches most of the classes for your major, you're out of luck, because you're stuck with them. Dorming and dining is not ideal, but you learn to live with it.
Did not enjoy my first year at all! This school is very cliquey and it feels like the students are almost impossible to talk to. Dorms most definitely need upgrading and the food from the dining hall made me sick. I spent most of my time stuck in my dorm and was very bored. Nothing to do here at all besides going to the city. I went home almost every weekend because I couldn’t stand feeling trapped inside. Everyone here is basically a commuter student, athlete, nursing/PA major or theater major. I’m an athlete & nursing major and still felt like I didn’t fit in. I don’t understand why Wagner is so expensive it seems like they don’t put any money into upgrading what’s needed (buildings are very run down and many details need fixing). I am most likely transferring ASAP but it feels almost impossible with how Wagner’s credits are. Very upsetting but Covid didn’t make it any easier.
