DSU is over all a good school. All the professors I have had have been very helpful and passionate (as always there are a few bad apples). The campus and its resources are growing exponentially- I have no idea where they are getting all their money for new things from! It is in a gorgeous area with lots of outdoorsy activities available. The climate is amazing, barely rains or snows, the sun is always shining. Tuition is cheap and its easy to qualify for their academic scholarships and get accepted. Diversity is a little lacking. However, the locals are all super warm and accepting. The campus isn't ginormous so you don't have to walk forever. And there is all sorts of housing near by. Dixie State University is changing its name to Utah Technical University in the near future- so watch out for that if you are interested in applying! There is no Greek life and partying, drinking, drugs, etc are not something very many people participate in. Overall, my experience has been really good.
I love going to school at Dixie State University! They offer amazing education at a very affordable price for both in state and out of state students. The school is a D1 school but still has small classroom sizes which I love because it allows you to connect with the professors and ask questions in lectures. The student body also puts on a lot of student activities to keep everyone on campus connected and entertained. The location of the main campus is in a great spot. It is close to a national park and a state park; both of which are just a couple of miles away and offer a lot of outdoor recreation. The weather is also really nice, it's almost always sunny.
Dixie State University, well now Utah Tech University has been a part of my family for generations. It is located in the best spot with so many options of things to do around and outside school. With that, it also allows various education opportunities. DSU has such a great community, flexibility per student, and affordability! I've never regretted a second being a part of the Trailblazer team.
