I very much love that it is a smaller university. It is in an amazing location and the overall feel of the campus is very welcoming and safe. The Academic advisors have been so encouraging and always look for ways to help you finish your degree more efficiently and quickly. It is a very one on one university. All of my experience with professors from the university have always been so kind and invited. The entire staff is focused on your success. The university has many resources to help with mental health, tutoring, and genuinely helping everyone belong. The clubs are so fun to join, and the events that the school host are amazing!
Utah Tech University has a good selection of professors and staff, and a small to medium-sized student body that allows for a pretty close-knit community on campus. The class sizes are certainly small, so you get to know those in your class and can get more personal one-on-one help and rapport with professors. The tuition isn't outlandish, and the university is using it to update campus with great buildings and resources for students. The Human Performance Center is incredible, and really fosters an active and healthy student body. Lots of student-ran events and clubs to keep students engaged! The surrounding community also engages a lot with the university, and it's obvious that the whole city cares for the school and its students.
There are some buildings, however, that could be updated. In some ways, for some majors, that stunts engaged learning. On campus parking can be a nightmare, though they are constructing more parking lots to mitigate that.

The application is really easy to complete and the counselors make it a super smooth experience once you're accepted. Any time I have a question I reach out to my counselor and they respond really fast and get me the help I need. You're automatically reviewed for scholarship opportunities when you apply to the school, so you don't have to submit a separate application. I'm super excited to attend Utah tech in the fall and can't wait for the opportunities that await me! If you're thinking about applying, just do it!
