My professors challenged me to become the best Speech Pathology student I could possibly be. My Speech Science professor took the time to meet with me via video chat to provide advice and to learn my story, she even promised to write me a letter of recommendation. Because of the support from my professors, I was able to successfully apply to several graduate schools for speech therapy. As of now, I am awaiting to hear my results of acceptance. I am forever grateful for the time and energy my professors took in preparing me for a rigorous career path. They have definitely helped me advance in my goals, including my long-term goal of one day opening my own pediatric speech therapy clinic for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Utah State University showed true excellence in the way they treat all of their students. They kindly sent a care package across country to help me safely combat the deadly COVID-19 virus. In the kit was hand sanitizer, a mask, and safety information.
USU has been a wonderful fit for my busy schedule as an Independent Dyslexia Tutor. I have still been able to provide my students with excellent academic service while still thriving as a student myself.
In my time at USU, I took the personal initiative to create a GroupMe to daily connect with all of my classmates. This helped me to build a sense of community and to encourage these people who are on a similar career track.

All of my classes are online. Most of my instructors have recorded lectures for to watch at any time, and they also made themselves available through email, phone, and zoom for questions and help.
