I LOVED UW Oshkosh. From the size of campus to the school’s size to its incredibly affordable price, UWO is a fantastic choice for a college experience. The staff and professors were incredibly supportive and helpful. I worked on campus for 3.5 years, and it helped me advance my skills socially, academically, and professionally. The student amenities (rec center, Horizon Village, student support center, LGBTQ+ center, alumni welcome center) were incredible too. I was inspired constantly to thrive here. Also, there were an incredible amount of scholarships available, especially for out of state students. The only thing I would change is a more expansive College of Education building since it’s an incredibly large major and program like business and nursing. Overall, I would and do recommend this to any student looking for a medium-sized, affordable, and supportive public university.
Very affordable, good facilities, and commitment to diversity and inclusion! However, the professors aren't always great. And quite frankly -- it's a hideous school. Oshkosh to me is like a community college, but a university; if that makes any sense. Nothing wrong with the school, it's just very average! Oshkosh is an awesome, livable small town though.
UW-Oshkosh is a great campus! The campus is easy to walk and navigate through but not as big to where you would need to ride a bus to get to certain buildings. The clubs and involvement are inclusive and easy to join. With great college resources, including flexible accommodations, and easygoing professors, it’s definitely a great place to start the next journey of your future!
