I personally loved the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I went to the University as a freshman however, they do not have my major (nursing) so I am very sad to leave. I did not have one bad professor, and the academics were great. The only down fall to Stout is the community. It did not always feel like the safest campus, and I wish there would have been campus security or someone patrolling - especially at night. Besides that small aspect I could not complain!
Review University of Wisconsin - Stout
I am about to begin my second semester at UW-Stout in the online SPED program. So far I have had a wonderful experience with this college. First off it is one of few colleges that has an online education program and that will work with you if you live out of state when it comes time to complete your student teaching hours. Their website has great resources to complete your program and classes to the best of your ability, and many of the teachers and administration that I have worked with have been beyond helpful!
Stout has been an interesting experience so far. I am surprised that I am enjoying my classes, they are very interesting and will help prepare me for my future career. I really like Stout's campus, and although Menomonie is a small town, there are some cool things to do. Being a freshman is difficult in general because you don't have any friends, so it's hard for me to say I love it here right now. But I think this is a good place, and over time I think I'll like being here more. They offer so many events and clubs, there's always something going on! Getting involved has helped me meet great people! Stout is a good college, even though it's not what I expected.
