Steven's Point WI is a charming small town that is just the right size to give a homey feel while still having plenty to do. The University is gorgeous and surrounded by nature, including its own reserve, Schmeekle. The class sizes are smaller and more personal, and the professors there are very invested in your academic future than other schools. The campus is known for its diversity and variety of majors and interests as well as student organizations! My personal favorite is the ukulele tree-climbers club.

When we switched to online classes because of covid-19 it personally at first was a struggle for me. I am not very tech savvy and I really loved a in person class. My professors were amazing! They helped us as best they could and there is also the Trio program that most definitely helped me with the switch. The Trio program is a group of tutors for special needs people and for people that both parents did not get a bachelor's degree. Overall because of my persistence and the help that I received I actually quite enjoyed online classes.
I have only been attended UWSP for one semester so far, but it has been an overall good experience! There are tons of people willing to help with anything you might need, you just have to ask! Dorm life has been alright, the food is great (especially with our renovated dining building!), and it hasn’t been too challenging to balance time between work, school, and play.
