I had transferred from a small, private college to here my sophomore year of school. I absolutely love UWL. The classes I've taken for my major (English Education) were fantastic, and I genuinely did not have a single professor who was unkind of not caring. There were several times I ended up in some sort of crisis, and all of my professors were willing to work with me and create an action plan. They genuinely want me to succeed. The downfall of my very specific major is that I feel as though I did not get a chance to learn pedagogy specific to English for 6-12 grade, which would be helpful. However, I had many opportunities for internships and jobs relating to my career, that I picked it up naturally. La Crosse is a great city, and there are opportunities for jobs and internships in most likely every major's field. The school itself has a very positive perception to your future employers!

The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse has a beautiful campus and offers a wide variety of courses, majors, and programs. The campus is the perfect size, enabling students to walk to and from classes in less than 10 minutes. There are unlimited resources encompassed in various halls, and even online, assisting students every step of the way. The dorms create the perfect environment for meeting new friends, and learning how to live in close quarters with others. After classes, the union is the place to go to grab a bite and do homework not in the traditional library setting. However, for those who prefer the library atmosphere, Murphy Library has both talking friendly areas (even with a coffee shop), as well as silent areas. There are copious amounts of activities and resources easily accessible for all students. If you have any questions, the uwlax.edu website will most likely have the answer!
I love how our campus is very resourceful. The campus makes me feel like I belong, it doesn't matter which part of the world you are from, there is always space for you! There are numerous you can hangout with friends and study. The other best thing about La Crosse are professors, they are very helpful, you just have to reach out for them and they are willing to help as much as they can. I like how La Crosse makes an effort to keep the students updates about current events and encourages them to participate. Overall, I love my campus.
