University of Wisconsin - Green Bay Reviews
The students and faculty at UW-Green Bay are very welcoming. The professors truly care about students, and as long as the student is putting in effort and wants to learn, most are willing to make some accommodations to help students succeed. Most class sizes are small, which allows professors to know students by name and have a better relationship with them. Smaller classes also allow students to know their classmates better. UW-Green Bay has many connections with organizations in the Green Bay community, which allows for lots of volunteer and job opportunities, internships, local guest speakers, etc. One of the downfalls is that the campus is slightly secluded and not directly in the city or near stores. Although it is not terribly far from stores, students that do not have cars have more difficulty getting off campus due to very few sidewalks or bike lanes on the main streets near the university.
My experience at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: Manitowoc Campus is great! I love all the professors and I love the class sizes. With smaller class sizes means that the classes are more intimate and more closed because people are able to ask questions without fear. The professors always make time for us to come into their office to talk discuss certain things about the class. My time on campus is memorable and I will never forget about it.
It was a good school, but it didn't provide the best education, it lacked in many of it's programs, but it wasn't a waste of time. The good thing about UWGB is that it is cheaper than most universities and students don't have to go outside very much in the freezing weather due to their tunnel system. Apparently they have a good basketball team but they still don't compare to other universities because they don't have as many options for sports. Also compared to other universities, they don't offer as many majors and minors, and that could be because UWGB is smaller than a lot of universities. The campus is beautiful and is home to the Weidner Center, but there is something about it that doesn't have the best feel.
