Everyone is really friendly and the staff is helpful! Teachers don't go out of their way for students, however office hours and small classes do make that effect on the class experience small. The campus is relatively large for the amount of students. The weather is almost always gloomy, however it doesn't affect campus attitude at all.
Review University of Wisconsin - Platteville
There are so many activities to get involved in that you truly feel part of a college family. The students accept you for who you are and make sure you are comfortable where you are in your education. The campus is beautiful and Rountree dorms are great to live in. They offer a small store for purchasing sandwiches when you just can't make it to the commons. On the cold or rainy days you can catch the shuttle to your class. Very accommodating!
I definitely like the smaller campus size. With only about 9,000 students, class sizes are much smaller as well, usually around 25 students. I have been able to develop personal connection with many professors I have taken classes from. However, because it is a four year university, there are a handful of requirements that everyone, regardless of major, must fulfill. This is what I do not like. There are personal fitness requirements as well as fine arts requirements that I feel will not help me with my studies (mechanical engineering). Aside from a few unnecessary credits, Platteville is definitely the place I want to be.
