The University of West Georgia is an amazing school to attend. There are so many resources available, a beautiful campus, fun activities, and tons of organizations and clubs to join. It's only 45 Minutes from Atlanta, so it's convenient to travel back and forth. I love the teachers; online courses are easy to navigate! It's a home away from home. As a soon-to-be graduate student. The staff makes sure that seniors have everything they need before the big day. Teachers make sure everyone is caught or needs help with any of our academics. Our president is so amazing. Mr. Breden Kelly always checks up on us. He loves to hear our stories and he actually is a part of our lives. I enjoy him as the president at West. No matter your situation he will make a way for the students to be successful.
Success starts at the University of West Georgia! Just like Raequon Jones, alumni from UWG who is a registered nurse working at Emory in Atlanta. A major in Health and Community Wellness will allow me to turn my passion for helping people into a lifelong, rewarding career. When touring the campus, I instantly felt at home. I could feel the difference in the school and the students. Given that the people I saw were staying at school during break while their peers went home, everyone remaining on campus seemed truly delighted to be there. When I looked around, I saw people I could imagine myself befriending and spending time with, again making UWG a great fit for me.
University of West Georgia makes everyone feel welcomed and seen! From student activities around campus before the semester even starts to the one on one time professors provide to see their students succeed. UWG is always sure to make sure all students are healthy, safe, successful, happy and fed. One thing I would like to see change at UWG is something myself and many others would like to see at all colleges… and that’s cheaper education, hopefully some day!
