Overall, it's a Superb college, because of the various activities the school holds that advocate safe on-campus fun, and student involvement. Speaking of student involvement, the college also has numerous of clubs that gives back to the community and people around it. For Instance, a club called Center for student involvement host events that care for the elders in the surrounding environment. In addition, we also have a variety of churches on and off campus for students to continue their walk with Christ. For example, I attend a non-denominational church called CWOW. Then, If you are looking for a safe campus, University Of West Georgia is it! From self- experience I can vouch that I've walked more than 30 feet from my dorm to the library numerous nights, alone, and can say that I always felt safe. Although Kennesaw was my first choice, I fell in love with the University of West Georgia and I am proud to call myself a wolf.
Review University of West Georgia
The University of West Georgia has served as home for me. The campus is concise, yet has an array of environments and setting to meet any preference. The library, buildings, and academic accommodations are all up to par and consistently being improved upon. Athletics and clubs are always fun and there are many to choose from. Center for Student Involvement is always hosting free events to get involved while also taking a break from school stress and meet new people. I never plan on transferring from this college and hope to also earn my Master's here!
I just finished my first semester here and it was pretty good. It isn't that diverse. It's majority white and the whites and blacks rarely interact. Academic wise I was definitely challenged, this school is not a walk in the park. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR RESOURCES! The campus is a nice size. They have buses but you still walk alot. The athletics are okay, not much to say about them. They're athletics. Professors are reasonable. The local area is expected from a small town. Housing is good, it depends on where you stay, you get what you pay for. Campus food is ok, They're 2 cafes, Z6 and EC. Most will say Z6 is better but EC has more variety. Student life is ok, they have a lot of stuff for the us to to and get involved in. Safety and Party Scene go hand and hand. This year there was lots of crime making both campus and carrollton police strict, which interferes with the party scene because everything gets shut down before it starts. I will say parties be lit until they get shut down.
