University of Texas - Austin Reviews
Review University of Texas - Austin
I love being a student at the University of Texas. It is one of the most renowned public education institutions in the world, and has plenty of activities to be involved in outside of academia. There are countless clubs and organizations on campus, and the surrounding city of Austin is one the best places in the country. However, be warned: it may not be for everyone. With around 50,000+ students, the size can be intimidating to some. I personally enjoy the incredible amount of people I can meet and study with, and the size gives me a nice perspective. There is always something going on on campus; whether it's a basketball game, club fair, jam session, food stand, party - you name it - there is always something close to keep you occupied. Being a musician, living in Ausin and attending UT is the best college experience I could've asked for. Come to UT. Hook 'em Horns!
UT Austin is an amazing school with so much to offer -- what starts here really does change the world. From its diverse array of student organizations and clubs, to some of the best professors in all of Texas, UT definitely is the best for academics and student success. The classes here really focus on learning as the end goal. You can tell the passion and drive from UT students really stems from a will to learn and succeed in whatever field they are pursuing. It's definitely very fast-paced and super competitive here which can be stressful, but this stress also serves as a great motivator to strive to be the best version of yourself. UT's work-life balance is also great because there are so many fun, recreational things to do in Austin, like paddle boarding, hiking the green belt, watching movies at Alamo Drafthouse, or seeing live music shows downtown. All around a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone willing to push themselves to their greatest potential!
While I am not yet enrolled in the University of Texas at Austin, I can gladly say that I will be attending the university this fall. I have had a campus tour and fell in love with the scenery. The academics are outstanding, and the school history/pride is impressive. The buildings are nicely renovated, with the student center being my favorite. Even outside of the campus, Austin seems like an entertaining place to live! There are plenty of shops and restaurants near the campus that students could hang out in. I can easily say that I am very excited to live the next four years of my life in Austin.
