UST is a phenomenal school. It has one of the most beautiful campuses you will see situated on the Mississippi River in a residential area of St. Paul with another campus in downtown Minneapolis. New facilities. Always have best sports teams in their conference/D3- many national titles. Wonderful professors, lots of research and leadership opportunities. Healthy and active campus. Food/dining is excellent-fresh and healthy options. Public Safety makes you feel safe on and off campus.
Does need more on campus living options for non-freshmen. Students dress nicely to class in more expensive brands/looks are important. Party scene is mostly bars with some house parties (but do get busted). Since there is a lot going on in the city, even though it sports teams do exceptionally well, there isn't a HUGE school spirit vibe because some students do their own thing. There is always a crowd at football and basketball games especially against rival St. John's.
Review University of St. Thomas - Minnesota
My experience at UST has been amazing! I just finished my first-year and I had three mentors, all which were wonderful and very helpful. Having three mentors was my favorite experience of UST because I built a relationship with different individuals with different backgrounds, knowledge and experience. This way I learned more and became involved with various and different opportunities and club/activities at school.
My college experience thus far has been great. I have made numerous valuable connections between students, faculty, and potential employers. I have also made a ton a new friends that have similar interests and priorities, have gotten involved with several clubs and activities such as choir, swing dancing club, and a sustainability Living and Learning Community. I feel very comfortable and accepted at St. Thomas, and am loving my freshman year of college thus far!
