My experience at UST has been amazing! I just finished my first-year and I had three mentors, all which were wonderful and very helpful. Having three mentors was my favorite experience of UST because I built a relationship with different individuals with different backgrounds, knowledge and experience. This way I learned more and became involved with various and different opportunities and club/activities at school.
My college experience thus far has been great. I have made numerous valuable connections between students, faculty, and potential employers. I have also made a ton a new friends that have similar interests and priorities, have gotten involved with several clubs and activities such as choir, swing dancing club, and a sustainability Living and Learning Community. I feel very comfortable and accepted at St. Thomas, and am loving my freshman year of college thus far!
I absolutely love it here. The overall atmosphere is very positive. The school has great values such as service and compassion for all people and it really reflects on the student body as a whole. It is super easy to make friends especially if you join clubs (like Cru) on campus. It is also the perfect size to make new friends because people branch out unlike at large universities where students tend to stay with their old high school friends if they go to college with them. If you are interested in studying chemistry or biology or any type of science, I highly recommend St. Thomas because of our AMAZING science professors and because of the sheer number of research opportunities. The professors here want you to succeed and will help you succeed here if you work hard.
