I have enjoyed my experience at the University of South Florida so far because I have been learning in every course with the guidance of professors and the assistance of classmates, when necessary. The St. Petersburg campus is full of diverse people and opinions that are appreciated amongst the student body. The location is beautiful with a great amount of nature and city life. The bay, plants, outdoor seating, and decor are pleasant. There are a great number of events and activities available such as included kayaking and waterboarding, movie nights, arts and crafts, and student government initiatives.
Although the material is not simple, I would appreciate more advanced discussion and activities to be set for our level of education for virtual and laboratory courses. The professors are adequate educators and some are quite kind. Dining and Housing are quite expensive for the amenities offered, however, I do appreciate that they are a comfortable walking distance from classes.

This is my first semester at USFSP and I am loving it here. There are free paddleboards and kayaks to take out every weekend, and the bay is not even a five minute walk from the dorms. I see dolphins and manatees at least once a week. The campus is beautiful and the people are great. The food could be better, there aren't a lot of options, but the dorms are alright. If you love the ocean this campus is for you!
Before USFSP, I went to a school with a higher SAT/GPA. USFSP provides a better campus culture and education than that school. At USFSP, the professors lend their hand to help you succeed. I feel challenged, and I am surrounded by other motivated students who are also chasing fulfilling careers. While there are many commuter students, there is still a vibrant on-campus culture. There is no shortage of things to do, and yes, there are parties if that's your thing. I am satisfied with my dorm and enjoy being in the heart of downtown. The parking situation is obnoxious, as residents are restricted to the upper levels of the garage, but few universities actually have good parking. There is definitely a reason the St. Petersburg campus is harder to get into than the Tampa one.
