You really do get what you pay for when it comes to this college. While tuition may be cheaper, you will deeply suffer from the severe lack of services and space available. Little to no study areas exist and the main one that is used is found in the main rotunda which also is the main location of may events and where people walk into the main building while conversing leading to a disturbance to anyone trying to study. The main rotunda study area is also subjected to the intense rays of the sun throughout the entire day due to its circular shape and plethora of single-pane windows which allow significant heat transfer through. In addition, an abundance of sub-par professors can be found here, however, all classes will still be difficult to get in just solely due to the fact there is limited staff and limited space available.

I transferred here from State College of Florida and honestly I was very disappointed when I did so. I was expecting there to be more to this campus or to at least be on the same level considering the cost to attend here. Every aspect of my experience has been diminished by substandard quality in some fashion. My largest complaint is the lack of online classes that are available and that for the sciences courses that require labs to be taken they are only offered on days that the course itself isn't taken on! I work full time and I go to school full time and I can't have three days off or leave work and come back.
This fall will be my first semester at USFSM and I am so excited to start! The campus is small, which is what I love about it! The small class sizes make teacher-student relationships much more personal, and it allows for you to have access to more one-on-one help, unlike other big universities.
