In terms of academics, USC Upstate is an excellent school. Our professors are top-notch, especially the ones who teach within specific majors. We have so many available resources for help, it's overwhelming! The IT people, librarians, Student Success Center, and tutoring services ensure you will not fail in your studies if you seek help. The campus is pretty diverse, so anyone could feel at home here. The only thing is that commuters may not feel as apart of the culture as the residential students.
Review University of South Carolina - Upstate
I am currently a freshman at the University of South Carolina Upstate. From the professors, to the beautiful scenery Upstate is a wonderful campus all around. There is always something to get involved in. There are two great dorms to be able to pick from. Luckily, I get to live with two of my bestfriends. We are looking forward to moving into the newest campus apartments right across from campus next year! The food is always excellent. There are three restaurants on campus to choose from. Sub connection, Holy Habanaros, and Sandellas. (Subs, Mexican, and pizza/sandwiches.) The campus is all around beautiful. There are multiple areas to go sit and have lunch outside or play in one of the fields. There is also a "hammock park," where you can set your hammocks or enos up on a sunny day.
USC Upstate is a great school if you are looking for a not so big school. It is a really nice campus to look at when you walk around and the academics have been pretty good so far so no complaints there. The party scene is ridiculous! If you want to go to party and kickbacks, Upstate definitely have those and they are crazy! Downsides I would have to say are the walking, there is so much walking to class. The food is also downside, going into the cafe you might be a little disappointed. Other than those little things Upstate is a great school to attend!
