I graduated with my bachelors from this school, I loved my classes and thought my professors were really great. The class sizes are fairly small, so you definitely get to know your professor, and to ask question. The campus is super beautiful, they do a fantastic job of maintaining it, the foods great, and everyone is super nice. The wellness center is awesome, and they have a pool, and hot tub! I'm currently back for a certificate in teaching. Honestly, it's a great university, I am super glad I get to attend it!

In terms of academics, USC Upstate is an excellent school. Our professors are top-notch, especially the ones who teach within specific majors. We have so many available resources for help, it's overwhelming! The IT people, librarians, Student Success Center, and tutoring services ensure you will not fail in your studies if you seek help. The campus is pretty diverse, so anyone could feel at home here. The only thing is that commuters may not feel as apart of the culture as the residential students.
The biology department at USC Upstate is outstanding. The professors are very helpful, flexible and willing to assist you with your academic needs. The department has a plethora of professors who conduct research that students can assist with. There is an annual research symposium in which students are able to present the research they've helped conduct to a platform of professors, faculty, staff and colleagues/students. The sciences courses are tough but if students do the appropriate amount of outside work for their classes they will be successful. The housing is better than most universities. The living spaces are up to date and students have the option of not only on campus apartments; but there are several off campus apartments they can choose from as well. The cafeteria food is okay but the surrounding campus food places are better. The library is currently being expanded to add a coffee shop. The library is a good size and has nice study rooms with whiteboards for groups.
