University of South Carolina - Upstate Reviews
Review University of South Carolina - Upstate
I am currently a freshman at the University of South Carolina Upstate. From the professors, to the beautiful scenery Upstate is a wonderful campus all around. There is always something to get involved in. There are two great dorms to be able to pick from. Luckily, I get to live with two of my bestfriends. We are looking forward to moving into the newest campus apartments right across from campus next year! The food is always excellent. There are three restaurants on campus to choose from. Sub connection, Holy Habanaros, and Sandellas. (Subs, Mexican, and pizza/sandwiches.) The campus is all around beautiful. There are multiple areas to go sit and have lunch outside or play in one of the fields. There is also a "hammock park," where you can set your hammocks or enos up on a sunny day.
USC Upstate is a great school if you are looking for a not so big school. It is a really nice campus to look at when you walk around and the academics have been pretty good so far so no complaints there. The party scene is ridiculous! If you want to go to party and kickbacks, Upstate definitely have those and they are crazy! Downsides I would have to say are the walking, there is so much walking to class. The food is also downside, going into the cafe you might be a little disappointed. Other than those little things Upstate is a great school to attend!
My experience at University of South Carolina Upstate has been a challenging, yet exciting one! I am an online student, therefore, all of the courses I am enrolled in, are via Internet. Personally, I wish I had the open availability to attend actual classes on campus, but online has been very beneficial for me. I have had very intellectual, kind, and caring professors thus far. I am thankful for this! Over 80 percent of students are nervous or have some type of worry pertaining to online courses, yet the online professors at USC Upstate have made the materials and course content so easily accessible, as well as maintaining effective communication at ALL times. My beliefs regarding this university are all positive! My experience has been an amazing one. Honestly, I have enjoyed online courses, because I am not only learning and understanding the material, but I am also teaching it to myself, and finding out more about myself and how I engage and learn!
