FANTASTIC military support office! They will bend over backwards to help you out where they can- especially Rob and Liz. The school seems to be in a transitional state- so the different financial offices constantly get paperwork messed up. The teachers are generally fantastic BUT the policy of attendance means that if you are ahead in a particular class, you cannot miss it our they will start dropping your grade by a letter for each absence. Tuition keeps rising as well so they can purchase giant horse states and build a bridge I will never use.
This university provides a close knit environment, while providing many opportunities for students to become involved. The student-teacher ratio is comfortable, and also provides a way for students to build that relationship with their teacher in order to learn better. The faculty and staff is amazing and help students succeed in any way they can. However, I do believe some changes could be made. I believe that with the number of incoming students increasing, more faculty should be hired to make more class options available to students. This also evens out the number of classes teachers have to teach. The school should also look into providing more classroom space for these incoming students and classes. This way, they do not have to wait until later on in their college careers to take their basic classes, which helps their schedules out tremendously. I feel that the money the school spends should be spent on this and not frivolous things.
The setting of the school is wonderful. The campus is beautiful and the students are very open and nice. I was a transfer student here and it has been a nice transition from one small school to another. I love the professors and overall the school is wonderful. Even though all of these things are positive, I have had quite a few problems with advisers and found them to be very rude and unhelpful! One even told me that it wasn't possible for me to get into graduate school, but I am a sophomore and have plenty of time to get my GPA up to apply to grad school.
