Science and Arts is an Incredibly welcoming and fun school. The whole time I've been here I haven't met a single rude staff member and everyone in my dorm building has been sweet and easy to talk to. USAO has the biggest dorms in Oklahoma, so there's no need to worry about sharing a shoe box with your roommate. The classes have been easy to find and all of my professors have been welcoming to the whole class. USAO is a smaller campus so there's no worry about leaving your dorm 20 minutes early to make it too class on time, however there are still tons of fun things to do and you'll always see at least one familiar face at any social gathering. I dropped all my keys on the third day of orientation and my orientation leaders helped me find them and made sure the whole campus was aware of my missing keys and they made me feel a lot better about loosing them and helped me find them in front of Sparks hall. USAO is an easy going, welcoming, incredible school that I'm proud to be attending.
The University Of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is a collage campus that makes anyone feel welcome and at home. With a 1 professor to 13 students it is easy for everyone to connect with thier professor and ensure they are able to succeed. I personally love that because I am not the best when it comes to connecting with others. And with such a a small campus you are able to be multitudes if people to find friendship and help in all your college courses. USAO also has open tutoring to anyone who needs help in any courses, this comes in handy when it's time for finals. Overall USAO is a good college for those who struggle with social interaction like I do.
It's small campus allows an individual like myself to pursue a degree with an elevated sense of belonging. The school staff are all intertwined in an ever tightening circle. The fact that we pride ourselves on our liberal arts education means that we are interdisciplinary, which helps those of us who focus on the big picture. As a writer, I pride myself on having knowledge in all things, which USAO expands every day. Unfortunately, being a small university means that our funding can be limited. That, of course means that some of our facilities can be dated. That is no surprise, of course. Our campus was established in the early 19th century. Academically, I don't see much need to change. For my major (English,) we have a dedicated Dean who is constantly striving to improve life for students. The humanities department as a whole is incredibly dedicated. History, English, and foreign language especially make the university a welcome place. There's not much to dislike.
