The best college of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Each course helps you shape you as a human being and professional.
I graduated from my bachelors from the School of Architecture after exploring and growing from other faculties.
Majors offered at the UPR include: Medicine, Law, Architecture, Engineering, Drama, Business Management, Humanities, Psychology, and more. Students from the UPR are constantly solicited from demanding jobs, including NASA.
During the past years, since the arrival of an imposed Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico (FOMBPR), because of illegal actions carried out by government figures and the colonial status that holds PR back, the UPR has suffered significantly. Fund cuts are constant under the FOMBPR which are directly to healthcare rights and the island’s education system. Students, professors and alumni are constantly fighting back and expressing their resistance against this social dismantling.

I am currently enrolled in the Rehabilitation Counseling Master's Degree and I can say that the experience has been fascinating. The campus is beautiful, and the staff is usually very welcoming. There are differente things around the campus that can provide a safe space for studying, eating or having fun. There are pharmacies and other stores to cover your basic necessities. The proffessors in my program are very professional and love their jobs. My time in this program has been full of wonderful experiences and learning; I can safely say that I will graduate as one of the best in the field thanks to their preparation. One of the downsides of the area is that the housing is very limited for now. They are working on reopening the other spaces, but right now there isn't much space for housing in the campus. But there are available rental housing around the area.
My experience overall in UPRRP has been amazing. Not only is it a beautiful place, but it is also historical. The university has everything from housing, to food, to a bank on campus. Even though the college is really big, there is a humbling and warm feeling to it. I recommend you search your professors beforehand and make any necessary changes. But overall I love it and would highly recommend it!
