It isn’t actually a bad university, it’s small campus makes everything easier to go around about it. It’s just average. It’s not a bad place but it isn’t great either. There are so limited on majors, they won’t bring new minors. Being a small university means it is less diverse. The professors are nice, but aren’t mind breaking individuals that’ll make you think wow.
It’s just is.

The University of Puerto Rico in Cayey is definitely one of the best schools the whole caribbean could offer. This institution gives many opportunities to all the students regardless if they are freshman or seniors. I had the privilege to be part of the Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science (SEA-PHAGES) program being a freshman. This school offers a wide variety of organizations which focus on the different majors that can be obtained here. These include: psycology, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, pedadogy, physical education, enterprise administration, among others. Also, most of the professors in this university are "pro-student"; which gives the whole professor/student relationship a new meaning. Sincerely, I would choose this school because it offers great education, a great faculty in a lot of departments and excellent opportunities in the graduate life.
Courses in this school are of great quality and the professors are conscentious of student well being. In my personal experience, I have had great relationships with most of my curriculum professors and the courses they offer are really mind openers. The insitution offers a wide variety of courses for my bacherlor's degree. In fact, to obtain a degree in Biology, the couseload is from 132-136 credits in four years which include courses like botany, zoology, anatomy, biochemistry, neuro biology, among others. Since this institution runs on academic freedom of professors, most of these conduct different styles when giving classes and this has a direct effect on the class sizes.
