Review University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras
I'm an ex-alumni of The University of Puerto Rico- Rio Piedras Campus. I studied from 1995 thru 2001 and graduated with BBA/ Human Resources. The campus was well-maintained, faculty doesn't foster inbreeding which enhanced the educational challenge, and libraries were up-to-date. Also, there were many extra curricular activities, a competitive sports offers, choirs, fraternities, etc. There were always concerns about security inside and outside the campus specially late at night.
Im a sophomore at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus. So far, so great! Loving college, loving the way they push students to their limits and the way they prepare and mold you to be a professional someday.
Athletics are very important to our university, yet I have not seen as much school spirit as other colleges. On a personal level, I have only attended to very important athletics events. I know others who attend to every single game. Basketball, volleyball, soccer and track and field are the most attended and acclaimed events. Nevertheless, they are even broadcast on local television and newspapers. We have an intercollegiate sports competition called "Las Justas" and they are one of the most important events. Here is where all students get involved making banners, shirts and chants to cheer for their teams. It is amazing.
