University of Pittsburgh Reviews
Review University of Pittsburgh
I attended the University of Pittsburgh from August 2013 until my graduation in April 2017 and I absolutely loved it. I majored in Biology and graduated with a 3.61. I felt that my classes prepared me very well for the MCAT that I took in June 2016 and was very satisfied with my score. In addition, I was able to join the Pittsburgh Men's Volleyball Club as well as the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. I have built many lifelong friendships within my organizations. I felt like the University of Pittsburgh challenged me academically, socially, and as a leader and I can genuinely say that it has changed my life for the better. Only two months out from graduating and I find myself missing it more and more. I would recommend this University to anyone and everyone, especially those pursuing science!
The University of Pittsburgh is a wonderful university full of diversity and opportunity. In the beginning of the year, I dove nervously into the unknown of the university and new environment I quickly adjusted to the sudden changes once meeting friendly peers and Pittsburgh residents. I participated in many on campus events and even joined a club to connect with other with similar interests as me. The academics of Pitt are challenging yet rewarding. Most of my professors cared about the subject they were teaching and of the students they were teaching. Campus food is amazing and there are plenty of options with dining passes and dollars that will guarantee no food boredom. Pittsburgh itself is a beautiful city filled with lots of things to do and towns to explore. I can't wait for what's in store for the next 3 years of my education at the University of Pittsburgh!
I think that the last four years have been great! Since I started out engineering and then went undecided before eventually landing in the business school. I have a broad range of experiences at Pitt in terms of classes. I am also in Greek Life so I have that experience in my belt as well. Greek Life has been great also, all though, if you are joining expecting to party like kids at Penn State or Ohio State I would temper your expectations. If you are joining to enter a close-knit community and build relationships all throughout campus (on top of party) then it is a great experience for sure. Pitt is the perfect mix of a big school with a medium size campus feel, you see enough friendly faces around campus and in class, but it's big enough that you are always meeting new people all the time.
