University of Pittsburgh Reviews
Choosing to attend this school changed my life entirely for the better. The experiences and education I gained were invaluable. I was able to meet so many different people, study in a large variety of fields, work closely with passionate professors, utilize excellent student services, and explore Pittsburgh - a city I now call home. Also being a first generation college student, having a TRIO SSS program was essential to my success. I was able to earn my BA in four years and study abroad. The emphasis on developing a worldview, appreciating diversity, and understanding the importance of seeking knowledge are strongly emphasized here. The opportunities I had, and the networks I built have continued to be beneficial to me even after graduating two years ago. My only negative was how expensive it was; nevertheless, I do not ever regret choosing to go here. Having a degree from Pitt is well respected. H2P!
The University of Pittsburgh has an amazing campus with beautiful facilities- every student here is very lucky and privileged to be able to experience it. The classes are all very interesting and challenging and the buildings are full of history. The main problem with Pitt would lie in its advisement, in my experience. My advisor that I was placed with had no idea about any of the programs or majors I wanted to do, and even had me placed in the wrong 5-year program until I noticed. The counselors here seem like they are trying, but do not give mentally or emotionally distressed students the help they need- every friend I have who has tried Pitt therapy has had to move to an out-of-school therapist. It is hard to feel heard. Overall, the dorms and classes and campus are wonderful and I do very much enjoy going to school here. There are so many activities planned by the school that it is very easy to get involved and make friends, and there is always something you could be doing!
The University of Pittsburgh gives students an excellent environment to study in and live in. Students have kinds of choices on classes, clubs activities and food choices. The clubs can satisfy desires from all the students having different interests and studying in different fields. In the University of Pittsburgh, I met great friends and nicest professors who are really helpful all the time for questions students have. I experienced diversity in the community. It is really safe to live in the dorm or even live off campus. All the campus polices are responsible. The university has the safe driver service and campus bus to make sure that students are safe all the time, especially at 3 o'clock when the student steps out the library and just finish studying. I love the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh city a lot!
