Again, this is a graduate commuter school and most students stay within their school's program or within their cohort. There are opportunities for school-wide recreational or social events, but generally speaking students are concentrating on their coursework. Students come from all walks of life and have different personal life situations. Some students are fresh from undergraduate programs, some are working students, others are full-time with previous work experience, some are single, and some are married with children. People find friends who are similar and hang out with them. Also, students meet new friends within student organizations or in classroom projects. Since this is a health science school, most people are not concerned with the dress and looks of students other than if we are giving an oral presentation. Most students are casual, in scrubs, or wear professional dress is they are coming from work or presenting in class.
