University of North Carolina - Greensboro Reviews
The University of North Carolina is very diverse. On this campus I have always felt welcomed by every individual I have come in contact with. Some of my teaches I have grown close with and all around it is a pretty good school. I major in biology and one thing I would change is the difficulty level. I make great grades in all other departments and classes, however the science department is overly tough. I struggle each yeah with making a decent grade. I know college is tough work but the amount of stress I get from my science classes I believe could be reduced!
Coming in with over 60 college credits out of high school, the University made it really easy to find a balance between being a 1st year freshman with a class rank of a Junior. The application process was normal, I got to register for classes earlier than the rest of my Freshman class mates and I'm due to graduate in Spring of 2018, 2 years after I graduated high school. Overall, I would say that the advising team is very dedicated to making your time here worthwhile, along with all the clubs, activities, and community events that are hosted here on campus there's no way you can be here and not feel culturally enlightened. If you're looking to get out of your comfort zone, this school is for you. If you're looking for a school that has your best interest at heart, you found it. Awesome school!
In my short time at UNCG, I have been witness to the incredible assets this school offers. I have been been placed with well qualified and caring professors who are eager to help me learn, been connected to a vast number of student groups, and have felt welcomed by everyone on campus. Each program offers its students a great number of opportunities to show off their skills outside of the classroom, including art shows, theatrical performances, and recitals. There are many hangouts on campus, such as the Elliot University Center and Jackson Library, as well as many local favorites such as Tate Street Coffee just steps away from the main campus. All of the diversity of UNCG is emulated in the entire Greensboro area, where UNCG students and faculty often reach out to the community to share in that culture. All together, UNCG is an amazing place to be, and there has not been a moment in my college career where I haven't felt supported, understood, and valuable. I am proud to be a Spartan!
