University of Nevada - Las Vegas Reviews
Review University of Nevada - Las Vegas
Transferring to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from College of Southern Nevada was intimidating at first. The size of the campus is overwhelming and the resources offered to students are incredible. It's awesome to run into my friends as well as create new relationships with classmates and professors. After settling in, I'm abundantly more comfortable at UNLV and I'm excited to bask in the college experience while I'm here. The only thing I would change is create more parking lots; often times, finding a spot can prove to be difficult. Other than that, Go Rebels!
Although I am currently only A freshman, I have been really enjoying my experience thus far. I am enjoying the college life far more than I enjoyed high school in the aspects of my education, my environment, and the people. One thing I really enjoy is the quality of professors. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is the second most diverse in the nation. This means that we have so many cultures joined together which surprises me that the professors are able to teach in a way that we all understand and are involved; no student is left behind. On the other hand, there is one thing all students would change and that is the parking issue. With over 30,000 students, parking is a hassle. Many students are late to class just because they spent more than thirty minutes contemplating where to park! Fortunately, they are handling this issue by constructing and opening new parking garages!
Overall, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is diverse, educational and inviting. The school is welcoming with many different clubs to choose from. There are many events as well such as premier which is an event at the beginning of the year to invite all incoming and returning students. My favorite experience was winning the Victoria Secret Pink Nation Party. Singer/songwriter Iggy Azalea came to our school for a full concert! It was awesome to see the entire school work together to win a contest for all of the students! UNLV was not my first choice, however as each day goes by I fall more and more in love with its atmosphere. The educators, students and curriculum come together to enhance my success.
