My #1 school list for college, with a great environment, education, and sports. Want to go there because it's the best in my state.
University of Michigan gave me plentiful opportunity to explore my passions and discover my sense of purpose. I cultivated relationships that I imagine I will have for the rest of my life and am so grateful to have spent four years studying in an environment that welcomed me and helped me grow.
So far before starting my school year I can tell that the experiences here are very good with community and opportunity offerings.
An amazing school filled with wonderful people (students, faculty, residents). So many opportunities for students to explore different parts of their education and passion. Great location with a downtown that is always busy with different restaurants, shops, bars, studios, and even the cutest weekend farmers market. At this school you will never be bored- there are always people who want to play sports, go out, go to the gym, study together, etc. I have never been happier. It is such a perfect, fun, exciting, fulfilling school to go to. Not a single bad thing to say (besides maybe that the winters are not the most fun but everything else totally makes up for that). If you love Michigan, you really LOVE Michigan! Wolverine forever. Go blue!
I will be starting U of M in the Fall, and the overall atmosphere of the college is great and I am both nervous and excited to attend school. The communication has been decent however I am looking forward to just starting school already.
My experience at University of Michigan was very special and honestly the best part of my life. U of M made me feel at home
I want the university to decrease tuition fees. It is very expensive.
Online courses are very convenient.

I love this school. The opportunities and offers are amazing - and not just in regards to future careers; Festifall is a little overwhelming for all the clubs on offer, or you can take a class for fun - I took a fascinating class on the Tarot :). It's not perfect, and has a lot to work on (writing this during the 2023 GEO strike. They didn't handle the situation perfectly either, to be fair, but there are two sides to this battle). This is home, even as home is hundreds of miles away. And Ann Arbor hasn't been consistently ranked one of the best college towns in the country for nothing. It is expensive, there's no doubt, but for me the expense is worth everything I get out of it. I will be sad when my time here is done.
My overall experience at the University of Michigan was so enjoyable and they offered everything I was expecting and more. I would not want to go to college anywhere else and am so grateful for the opportunities and people that this institution has given to me. I am an intended biology major and have been very pleased with the biology program and was greatly helped by my advisor who is easily accessible. While the university is extremely large, you quickly find yourself in your own communities and groups which makes campus feel a lot smaller in the best way possible. I am also thankful to be surrounded by people of all different backgrounds and different majors, so I am able to have conversations with people who have a different perspective than me. The culture at the university is unmatched and I would recommend it to any student looking for an enriching education and meaningful relationships. Go Blue!!
I am in the nursing school at the University of Michigan. This means that the class size is small and labs we have are even smaller. I’m so thankful for this because in such a large school, I am able to have a smaller community. This also means that the professors know those of us who make an effort to talk to them. This also allows for each student to have individual attention and get help if needed. I feel very respected within the school of nursing and I am always encouraged to speak up. Though freshman year was a struggle, it felt like I was cared for by my professors and the school itself. There are so many people that go out of there way to bring smiles to my face as well as those of my peers. I’m so grateful that I am learning so much, and I feel more prepared to take on clinicals every day. I have seen myself change a lot throughout my college experience, and the school of nursing has only helped me to change for the better, and work towards the nurse I will become.
I've had a great time at Michigan, everything here is great. Im filling words now blah blah blah blah. Go Blue!
I love it here so far! A university this big certainly comes with incredible resources and facilities. I was intimidated by the size, but I really enjoy it. I don't get bored too easily because there are so many things going on and places to hang out. I appreciate how the professional world feels just like our program (I'm a sophomore who's only done a couple of internships, but the correlation is there so far!). The dining hall good is above average. The dorms aren't terrible.
My only big complaint thus far is how admin is handling the GEO strike. It's embarrassing. You would expect better from the "leaders and best."

I really enjoyed the fact that it was a Big 10 school, but also a really good academic school. I liked all the rah rah of the sports games but also the challenging environment in all of my classes.
My mother majored in psychology at Michigan and was quite pleased by all of her professors, who frequently had highly interesting speakers come and speak to their students. She met my father at a coffee shop and taught him English before encouraging him to apply to Michigan, where he received his education. Their experiences and others have made me really feel compelled to the college itself and touring it made me that much more excited to apply.
The students knew how to work hard and have fun. The football game weekends are very fun and I got an excellent education.
I love this university so much. I am able to learn so much while creating lifelong memories and friendships!
I like the size within the University of Michigan. The class sizes within the school in which I am enrolled allow me to have various smaller study groups within my classes. In addition, my major has the same schedule for those of the same grade level, allowing us to get to know each other as the semesters advance. This helps establish and deepen relationships that foster an environment for deeper learning with my peers.
