Review University of Memphis - Lambuth
I love this school. It's small, the class sizes are always under 40, so you get lots of one-on-one time with professors if you need it. The professors actually get to know you if you let them. Everyone here is really helpful too and interested in helping you graduate and succeed in life, not just get you out. The campus is small too, so walking from one side of the campus to the other only takes 5 minutes. Most of your classes will be in just one building, so it's really easy to get around. They have a lot of student activities and student organizations that you can join too!
The professors I have had are by in large caring, knowledgeable, and extremely accessible. The classes sizes are small enough to be personal, and I have never had a class over fifty students. Still, course offerings at the University of Memphis at Lambuth are extremely limited. There may be 1-3 professors in a single department. There are a very small number of majors and professors, giving students little actual choice in professors they want. However, overall students can get plenty of individualized attention from caring faculty, which is a major positive.
The professors are overall caring and accessible. Their expectations are reasonable for the level of their classes. The workload is manageable if you budget your time evenly and don't procrastinate/cram. I haven't enjoyed many of the general education courses because, since they are required, students are overwhelmingly apathetic and uninvolved in class. This mentality is present with many gen. ed. courses everywhere, though. The registration process was simple and streamlined. Popular study areas are the BlueGrey cafe and lounge area. The library is a good, quiet study spot but has very limited hours.
