My overall experience with ULM was great! I loved learning from all of my classes. I graduated cum laude earning a B.B.A. degree in Computer Information Systems. I would highly recommend this university to anyone who loves to learn. I liked the fact that the professors were helpful and answered all of my questions. I received a Pell Grant, work-study financial aid, and a student loan to help me pay for my ULM tuition, room and board, textbook fees, and other various expenses. Make sure you complete your online FAFSA in order to obtain financial aid.
This college is average for international students with limited subject choice and feasibility. If you are coming as an international student and living on campus, long holidays like thanksgiving and others will bring you nightmares because all the dining is closed. Best of luck!
The university is great for those who have lived in Louisiana all of their lives. It has a lot of great events, organizations, and etc for students to participate. The cafeteria provides great meals and you get to experience southern cuisine. In my experience, ULM is not as organized as other schools. I have had a couple of instances where professors were not as encouraging as they could have been. However, there are definitely some professors that are willing to work with you and help you improve. This is a great school if you were raised in the area but i do not recommend it for out of state students. There is not much to do in the area and many students go out of town to have fun outside of campus.
