- University of Illinois System
UIS is one of three universities in the world-class University of Illinois System. We are proud that our talented faculty are leaders in their areas of study and teach all courses at UIS.
Students take advantage of leading-edge leadership opportunities not found at other universities. This allows them to shape their college experience and positions them ahead of peers outside UIS for career opportunities and further scholarship.
We are the U of I university where classes are small (student-professor ratio averages 15:1) and professors know their students – not just their names but their strengths and their goals. You’ll enjoy the close relationships that naturally occur with these teacher-scholars. Professors, not teaching assistants, teach our classes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

exceptional lecturers who are not only good in teaching but treat proper relationship with students and other members of staff as paramount.
University of Illinois Springfield is very accommodating as they are always open to receive students from all parts of the world irrespective of their
race, religion, culture and beliefs and background. University of Illinois offers several courses and has three branches
located at Springfield, Urbana and Chicago. This gives room to accommodate more students. University of Illinois Springfield is located in the heart of the Illinois town and has so many beautiful places for adventure and sight seeing. In other to help international students and students from other states settle properly in safety, the school provides very affordable accomodations and food for the students. Students at the school are exposed to activities that are inter-relational.
Cons: If you're under 21, live far from home, and have no transportation or money to get it: you probably will be extremely bored. The campus is always quiet and the parties on campus are extremely lame and crowded. Luckily there's a bar everywhere in Springfield, even one right next to campus where every Thursday people go to party which is usually always fun.
