UIUC is a great school with lots of options for everyone. There's always something new to do and see and the academics are nothing to complain about. I'm a physics major and some of our professors are simply fantastic! The only academic complaint I have is the intro math courses: unnecessarily competitive and disorganized. Other than that, I've never had a class I didn't enjoy. The physics department is particularly impressive, except for its distinct lack of coffee (it's time: get a cafe in/near Loomis already).

Attending UIUC for my college years was definitely a promising experience for me. I learnt a wide range of subjects from counting atomic numbers to planning a mammoth scale of project on constructing water resource plant that can provide sustainable resource during 22nd century. The university has a great academic program and is surrounded by caring professors and staff. I do hope that the football/basketball program gets more attention from students. It is always more fun and encouraging to support our athletes with bigger supporters. Go Fighting Illini!
I loved my first year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign! Not only was I challenged academically, but the school really pushes students to be involved and well-rounded individuals! The friends I have made are all equally as smart and driven people, which makes me strive harder to do and be more! The environment fostered by the University truly promotes excellence in every way, shape, and form.
