I have only the best memories as a student at the University of Houston Clearlake (UHCL). I started at the UHCL with zest and enthusiasm for learning. My program counselors were so amazing in how they saw me as a student that was ready to take on a Master’s Program. They provided me with all of the guidance and support to be successful.
I can’t say enough of my professors. I was just so fortunate to be at the right place with the best professors.
I felt motivated, inspired, respected, and with so much support.
I recall one stressful night when I separated from my husband. He left me without a vehicle alone with my four year old. I had no will to study for the next day’s test. I went to class and spoke to my professor. He listened attentively and then asked me to retake the test. I felt so grateful.
Also amazing are the peer study groups. Classmates are great!
And last but not least are the sights of the forests through the classroom windows. They are breathtaking!

My experience with UHCL was amazing! I transferred from a local community college and did not regret choosing UHCL as a school. I finished and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree. The professors at UHCL made my college experience easy, fun, and quick! I would love to return soon for my Master's Degree.
Perfect setting for upcoming freshmen looking for a small college to start off with, including with numerous amounts of majors/programs to apply for. Although financial aid, such as scholarships, are not as vividly provided for students - their office of financial aid would be there to provide any advice and information a student may need. Classrooms are relatively small in size, ether 20 students or less, with finding those classrooms not being hard to find. The campus continues to expand throughout the years, with their latest being an improved gym, otherwise stating that clubs and teams can be commission to be created freshly made, provided that there already be a team ready.
