Being my first semester at University of Houston - Downtown, I really had no idea how Greek life worked. By the first week I realized how important Greek life was to some students and it was intriguing! Everyday I was asked to join a different association and I can honestly say everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I am considering two different associations to join because of the love they have towards the environment and people. On the first week of the semester, I learned information of a few organizations and everyone was so helpful and welcoming.
Although I am new to this campus, I have noticed many students have pride for our school. Students of University of Houston - Downtown show love for their colors and mascot and definitely take advantage of the athletic facilities as well. The athletic facilities on campus are clean and appropriate for every student, making one feel at home!
My overall experience at my school has been extremely pleasant. The staff and volunteers are very helpful and understanding because mostly all of them graduates of the seminary. I think what makes my school unique is that is solely relies on the generous donations of people to stay in business and God has been faithful in keeping the school open for a little over 90 years!
