I transferred into the professional program after graduating at a different university the previous semester. As far as the academics go, the experience has been great. The difficulty level is very close to what I expected- harder than undergrad but not an unreasonable jump. Since STLCOP is a pharmacy-specific school (with a few exceptions), its social aspect is VERY different from a traditional 4 year undergrad experience. There is no true Greek life or anything of that nature and being located in the heart of the city, space is relatively limited for on-campus recreation (although they utilize their real estate pretty well). As much as I'm enjoying the professional program, I wouldn't have gotten the traditional, well-rounded college experience if I had come here right out of high school. I think its a perfect school to start at once you've gotten some kind of STEM bachelor's degree. The teachers are obviously extremely well educated and knowledgeable about their material.
With COVID, I did have to take classes online, which were not awful. The professors did a great job of transitioning online and did a great job in the fall as well. I am also currently taking my classes online/hybrid and I think it works really well! Lab online has been tricky/difficult, but overall a good experience.
University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy has very helpful Staff, especially in the financial aid department. They are knowledgeable and reply quickly.
