University of Delaware Reviews
I love the University of Delaware! The campus scenery is stunning and the students are very approachable. I had a problem with my dorming situation the first semester, but it did not stop me from having a great experience. I joined several clubs and made a lot of amazing friends. I am a pre-veterinary major, so the classes I have to take are very challenging, but they are durable. The TA's and professors love to help out when someone has questions. There are a lot of group tutoring sessions throughout the week if needed. I definitely recommend attending the University of Delaware.
I love the University of Delaware! Professors are easily accessible and it is super easy to make friends! Residence life and Housing stinks, but move off campus as soon as possible and you will be fine. Most of the off-campus apartments and houses are cheaper and closer to campus than the on-campus ones. It is slightly expensive out of state, but you get what you pay for and they offer a lot of things for free that other universities would charge for. Dining plans are expensive but the food is really good! It is also a really diverse campus and there are clubs available for every culture I can think of for you to immerse yourself in. And if there isn't what you're looking for in a club, UD makes it SUPER easy to make your own club. It is very safe and UDPD patrols extra on weekends. There are lots of parties and good parties. As long as you go out with friends at night you will be safe since UD police is around a lot!
UD is everything I hoped it would be. The students tend to go out often (usually to frat parties) and give the school a party school reputation. While partying is a huge part of the social scene here, students are extremely competitive and the academics are very challenging. Each year UD gets more and more competitive and the school is constantly improving itself and its rankings yearly. The campus is extremely picturesque and the surrounding area is safe and has lots of great restaurants. Dining on campus is not exactly delicious, but from what I understand it is much better than some other colleges. UD is also extremely popular for Delaware, New Jersey, and New York residents.
