I was a part of Boulders Pre-Colligarte Program which involved Juniors in Highschool to come down to a university and experience the life of a college student. The academics were amazing and easy to follow, the food tasted great, something new every week! Since Colorado was in its heat wave era, the dorms were extremely hot, fans were needed since air conditioning was not provided. Overall very safe, amazing area to have fun and relax with friends. Plenty of security in the area doing sweeps, even at night, and overall nice people.
I have been given the opportunity to stay on campus up at CU Boulder for 5 weeks. CU Boulder was able to deliver a very nice space for me where I can get the full college experience. This has helped me to see how the college life plays out which include living in dorms, taking college classes, getting use to the campus. They also provided valuable information to help me for when I transfer from high school to college. I can see myself attending CU Boulder because they were able to show that this is a place where you want to be. I have already got accepted to CU Boulder part of the Commnications/Journalism field. Which is super exciting, and I can't wait to see what there is for me in the future. I definitely recommend for students to look into this college and see if it's the best fit for them!
I found that it is a huge party school, if that’s your vibe. None of the students seem to have a ton of ambition more than how many frats they’ll hop that night. However, I gave it a three star rating because even though the culture is iffy for me personally, the classes, dorms and college town are really wonderful. I had a lot of amazing professors and the dorms are really nice and clean and welcoming. Everyone is super nice, just big partyers that went to Boulder for the fraternity and sorority scene. If that’s for you, this is a great school!
