Returning to school as a mature student (14 years after graduating high school), I was very pleased with the level of engagement and opportunities made available to me at UCCS. The flexibility of courses available, including evening and online course, the ability of professors to make material relevant to a diverse student population, and the amenities that the school provide all contributed to an excellent undergraduate experience!

Love the college! People are so nice, professors are amazing, and the campus is god tier. They really help you figure out your financial problems too. The school and the people are just so good. The food is also pretty good, considering its on campus food. Getting around campus is also really easy. Overall college has been a really fun, educational, and an awesome experience thanks to UCCS. I can't wait for three more years of good times, awesome lectures, and educational opportunities.
It was difficult to have a typical college experience here. It might have been because it is mainly a "commuter" school for people who are usually from Colorado. Although not luxurious, it is a very convenient college to attend if you wish to have a foot in the normal world and the college world. People may associate college as the party years, or with living in dorms. But UCCS seems like a more distinguished college, as you share classes with young students who also work full time, veterans, and older students.
I also found that academics were not the greatest. When compared with old high school friends, I found that some friends were getting a better education than me at other schools. I had one professor who cancelled more than 50% of her classes! I'm sure others have had better experiences with UCCS than I have, but I am currently in the process of transferring.
