As a current UCCS freshman pursuing a business degree, my personal experience at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs thus far has been wonderful!
Going into college, I was concerned about making new friends and fitting into a more academically-centered environment, but both of those worries turned out to be unnecessary. Through a startup class, I found a group of four other people who I now consistently hang out with on campus, and everyone else I've met has been welcoming and friendly. My stress over whether or not I was academically inclined enough to survive college also disappeared quite quickly, as I've managed to do well in all of my classes. All of my teachers know me by first name and have been willing to work with me.
I'm so glad that I chose to attend UCCS, as I've learned that it presents a ton of opportunities that I'm excited to continue taking advantage of.

When visiting UCCS, I immediately felt welcomed. The students and faculty went out of their way to fully answer my questions and concerns. Additionally, the campus is beautiful. From the classrooms to the outdoors, Colorado Springs is by far the prettiest place I have been too. One thing that really stood out to me about UCCS was how the counselor helped me SO much with my application for housing. You wouldn't think that a college counselor would care so much about every student, but they really do! I love UCCS.
Returning to school as a mature student (14 years after graduating high school), I was very pleased with the level of engagement and opportunities made available to me at UCCS. The flexibility of courses available, including evening and online course, the ability of professors to make material relevant to a diverse student population, and the amenities that the school provide all contributed to an excellent undergraduate experience!
