University of California - Irvine Reviews
UCI was truly an amazing experience for me! Having lived on-campus for two years and commuted my third, I felt that UCI created the atmosphere for a great college experience. My courses were challenging and supplemented by passionate professors, as well as driven colleagues. UCI provided great opportunities to expand in my academic and career goals, such as extensive research opportunities, networking with local professionals, and diverse externships. Lastly, campus life was more than what I expected! With friendly students, effervescent school spirit, supportive staff, and a plethora of local eats to check out, Irvine kept me wanting more! Overall, I would recommend UCI to incoming students! Zot zot
Due to the pandemic, the University of California, Irvine has quickly and successfully transitioned to remote learning. Although there were many stressors and challenges that arose, the university was understanding and provided relief to the students through housing, academics, and the like. Professors are really supportive of the students and constantly provided students with resources and platforms to help continue their studies through these times. One setback that this university has is that the administration at UCI had been very hard to reach and unresponsive ever since the transition to remote learning. However, the transition to online learning was very smooth and is to be commended.
The campus is in a circle so it is easy to navigate. Everything is located at least 10 minutes apart (walking distance). There is also a large park, named Aldrich Park located in the center of the campus. This is a nice space to relax. The campus is safe and has patrol on-call 24/7. It is also easy to navigate. It provides a variety of majors that are not offered in neighboring schools or within the UC system. It is definitely a top-rated school!
