Review University of California - Santa Cruz
Nestled between the head bending Red Wood tree's UC Santa Cruz owns outstanding beauty. She is home to curious creatures, deer, raccoons, possums but even more interesting are yes, you guessed it. Banana Slugs! This awesome yellow gastropod as seen on John Travolta's in Pulp Fiction and any of your quirksome friend's shirt is the official mascot of UCSC. Pretty cool. However, it is sad to note that due to California's current drought the Banana Slug has been in decline. However, no fear Shakespeare, UCSC students excel in the science's ex. Marine Biology, Astronomy and Environmental Studies. They are sure to help find a solution to drought and save the Banana Slug. They are one od the world's leading research universities, therefore no fear.
I love this school! I am a transfer student and have been happy since the first day I moved in. I wish I went here for all four years of my college career. The teachers are enthusiastic and passionate, my classes are rich and hands on, the campus is always clean and green, and the students are active and ready to learn! One thing I would change about the school is the population. I have heard from several sources that the school is admitting more students than we have room for. It is hard to get on campus living, and the buses are always crowded and full.
Studying here at UC Santa Cruz for the past 3 years has been nothing but an adventure. The professors are helpful and incredible at teaching, I have learned so much. There is an amazing Literature program, as a Literature major I have been able to receive the help I've needed picking classes etc. Besides the amazing professors the campus is unique considering is placed right in the middle of the forest. There is so much to see and do, its great to be surrounded by the beautiful nature everyday!
